I have read other books by Cayce, and honestly forgot I had this on my Kindle! I was on vacation last week and was pleasantly surprised when I found it in there!This book, immediately had you wondering how the main female character was able to manage to get through the things she did; with what she was faced with. Being a single mom, with an idiot boyfriend who leaves her before the baby is even born…….to take up with her mother!! Yes, that might seem a bit far-fetched, but sadly in this day and age, it happens! She finds it very hard to trust guys again, especially the one who immediately is fascinated (and dare I say immediately in Love with her?), but he begins to understand her, and figures out how to win her over! He works very hard at that, too, with much help from the town!
Unfortunately, there are few obstacles in their way…. many of their own doing (naiveté, ignorance, and yes a bit of male denseness)!! It does have a solid HEA, which I try to only read (I look in the reviews many times to find this out, before I buy a book), and there are many sparks that fly; both arguments and attraction…...also there is quite a bit of fun; the supporting characters in the small town give lots of humor, both with their version of “advice” and just being small town “nosy people”.
You will definitely enjoy this story, it is a great read while on vacation, when you just want to sink into a bit of everything; with some angst, humor, love, family, nosy neighbors, and as I already said, a true Happily Ever After (who REALLY does not love that)!
Cayce Poponea has definitely done GREAT!

I liked the story and where it was headed, and where it went.
There was a part that I found unnecessary and distracted me - the book would have wonderful without it.
I would recommend this book to any of my friends.
I was looking for a sweet romance and found it. The love story woven around everyone else's was amazing. I'm looking forward to the next tale about Crain's Landing.
I love a good hea story. This was the perfect read with its twists and turns. Couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in one day. If you love Cayce and haven't read this you're missing out. Worth the read.
Good story, a few too many misunderstandings, but still a good story. My only issue is I like to see when the "bad guy" gets busted and in at least four instances, it all happened off screen. It was read about in a paper or someone called to tell them. I like to see things unfold. I am a fan of this authors fanfiction, and this book definitely didn't disappoint.
There are many, many characters in this book, sometimes it’s hard to keep track of who’s who. Natalie got on my nerves after a while. She was so determined to stay away from men and wanting to be left alone went too far in my opinion. There is some angst, humor, love, family. Great story, great writing with a HEA.
Absolutely LOVED this book!!! Was hooked from the first chapter. Cayce writes characters that are so relateable and paints a picture of their surroundings extremely well. The way she described Crains Landing made me want to visit. Loved Natalie and Payton so much. Natalie was a strong, independent woman who worked hard for herself and her daughter. She didn't really care what others thought of her and steered clear of the city gossip. I will admit that I really didn't like Grant at first, because of his initial way of approaching Natalie. With time, I began to understand why he was doing things his way. Loved watching their love story unfold. And if you've read any of Cayce's other work, you know she likes to throw twists and turns in her stories. This is no different. Her twists and turns kept Natalie and Grant on their toes and helped get them to their HEA. Loved this book!
Classic love story, Natalie, was wronged by a previous boyfriend and when I say wronged I mean over the top, pig of a man, wronged. Her one good thing from that relationship is her precious baby girl Peyton. It's a story of struggles, overcoming adversity, starting over and being afraid to live again. I enjoyed the read immensely. I thought she took wanting to be left alone too far but sort of understood her reluctance to engage again. I felt close to both the H and h and Peyton, precious Peyton made the read worthwhile. Grant was a beauty of a man and showed his true colors by being patient and loving no matter what. Gotta love a sweet Alpha, see what you want and go after it. Nice story, good writing, HEA, what more can you ask for.
